Parked and Paid

About

Parked and Paid is a jobs desk and a research operation for people who live and work on the road. We do two things: tell you when to apply, and tell you what the job actually pays.

Why this exists

Nobody publishes what these jobs pay in a form you can compare. A listing says "compensation: FHU only" and leaves you to guess whether that's a fair trade for 20 hours a week or 40. Meanwhile the hiring windows are months earlier than anyone expects, so newcomers miss whole seasons before they learn the rhythm.

What we won't do

We won't charge job seekers. We won't publish a number without saying where it came from. We won't republish anyone else's paywalled listings. And we won't tell you an arrangement is bad because it pays no cash — a site-only post can be an excellent deal, and the point is to know which one you're looking at.

Who's behind it

Dennis, in Waukee, Iowa, building toward full-time travel. Not on the road yet, which is exactly why this site is a research operation rather than a lifestyle channel. The work here is reading agency documents, comparing them, and doing arithmetic nobody else bothers with.

Corrections

We have already corrected our own entries for Missouri and New Mexico after checking them against the agencies' own pages. If you find something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it and say we did.
