What we know

Outdoor amusement facility near Des Moines covering more than 200 acres, with the park, an almost 200-room hotel and a 310-site campground, drawing over 600,000 guests. Family-owned and hiring RVers for over 20 years — they recruit in person at RV shows and hire thousands of RVers a season alongside local staff. Weekends only in May, full daily operation Memorial Day to mid-August, weekends again until the end of September. Positions in rides, food service, games and retail.

Pay, in more detail

Their own employment page states the program provides a free full-hookup campsite with electric, water and sewer, and that you are paid for all hours worked at rates stated in their Workamper brochure — the rate is not published online. A 2023 account put the start at around $14/hr for some positions; an older account said $9.50. Treat both as unreliable and ask for the brochure. Crucially, one worker reports the site is free IF you stay the entire season, so leaving early may cost you the accommodation retroactively. Season-end bonuses offered.
